How is the town life and culture?
Randers is the sixth biggest town in Denmark and it has a prosperous
business life. Randers has more
pedestrianized streets. The town is known for its centre which is
characterized by fascinating old houses and buildings.
Furthermore there is the shopping centre called “Randers Storcenter”,
where you find all kinds of shops in one building.
Randers also has several museums for instance: Randers Regnskov,
Randers Art Gallery, Randers Museum of Local History, Randers Museum
of Crafts and many other museums.
Randers is also known for its night club street called "Storegade",
where most of the cafes, restaurants and discotheques are. The town
also has an active cultural environment, for instance there are
cinemas, an arts centre, a hall called “Randershallen” (In
which there often are concerts and sporting events), cultural centre
, and a new arts centre called “Værket” - in which there are
auditoriums,
concert halls, and a cinema.
In Randers you can also have an active spare time, as the town has
swimming bath, badminton courts, tennis courts, football fields,
squash courts, handball courts, a shooting range, motocross and much
more.
